Barbara has been selected as one of the companies featured in The Next 35 2026, the annual report published by PATIO Campus that identifies the most impactful artificial intelligence companies transforming business across Spain.

Now in its third edition, The Next 35 highlights organizations that are successfully translating AI innovation into real business value. The report evaluates companies based on their impact, innovation, viability, maturity, and ability to integrate AI solutions within corporate environments. Barbara joins a distinguished group of companies recognized for driving AI adoption across industries, alongside leaders such as Magnific, Clarity AI, Bdeo, Multiverse Computing, Sherpa AI, and Red Points.

The report was officially unveiled on the 16 June at PATIO Campus headquarters in Madrid, bringing together corporate leaders, innovation experts and ecosystem stakeholders.

AI Driving Real Business Transformation

According to the report, 71.43% of the selected companies generate their primary impact in Operations & Processes, demonstrating that AI adoption is increasingly focused on improving efficiency, automation, productivity, decision-making, and operational integration.

The study also reveals the strength of Spain’s AI ecosystem, where companies are not only developing end-user applications but also building the infrastructure, data capabilities, security frameworks, and deployment technologies necessary to make AI operational at scale.

Barbara’s inclusion reflects the growing importance of industrial and enterprise AI solutions that enable organizations to deploy intelligence closer to operations, accelerate digital transformation, and unlock new competitive advantages.

A Mature and Growing AI Ecosystem

One of the key findings of The Next 35 is the maturity of the Spanish AI landscape. Despite the recent surge in interest around generative AI, 80% of the companies included in the ranking were founded before 2022, highlighting years of technological development, product innovation, and sector expertise behind today’s success.

The report also underscores the geographical concentration of AI innovation in Spain. Madrid accounts for 45.71% of the selected companies, while Catalonia represents 31.43%, together forming the country’s primary AI hubs. Emerging technology clusters, including the Basque Country, continue to strengthen Spain’s position in areas such as industrial AI, cybersecurity, robotics, privacy, and quantum computing.

Selected by an Independent Expert Committee

The final selection was evaluated by an independent panel of experts representing leading organizations including Atresmedia, Iberia, Kyndryl, L’Oréal Groupe, MERLIN Properties, Pascual, Publicis, Roadis, Social Nest, and Valoriza.

The process began with the analysis of 185 AI companies connected to the Spanish ecosystem, which was narrowed down to a shortlist of 109 organizations before the final 35 were selected. For Barbara, being included in The Next 35 reinforces its mission to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption through secure, scalable, and operationally ready solutions that bring intelligence directly to critical business environments.
